Jamie redknapp.-west Ham better off playing in front of no fans,
Jamie Redknapp is the latest to suggest that West Ham have benefitted from having no fans at the London Stadium.
This really makes me angry.Over the decades we have been among the most loyal and passionate fans in the country, perhaps the most loyal and passionate of all.Indeed friends of mine(usually Arsenal and Spurs) have come with me sometimes to West Ham and have gone home gobsmacked by our support saying they have nothing like it.-Has there ever been a show of support like we showed the world when playing Forest at Villa Park?

Ok ,at the Soulless Bowl our support has been watered down with many time served die hard fans walking away to be replaced in many cases by ‘premier league’ fans.-But thousands of passionate West Ham fans remain. If our team works hard and puts in maximum effort then our fans get behind them.
I find Mr Redknapp’s remarks offensive and an insult to our fans and to David Moyes, his coaching staff and our players. Our success has been down to their efforts. We have also been boosted with 2 astute Moyes signings in Soucek and Coufal ,and have been fortunate with injuries.
Let us also consider that we play our best football by leading our opponents on and counter attacking, this can be compromised by our fans in the stadium urging us on to attack. This is of course not unique to West Ham and I note that last time I looked there have been more away wins than home wins across the Premier League this season.
If we qualify for the Europa League we will need considerable squad investment if we are to mount a serious European campaign alongside our domestic commitments. Our league position may well suffer and no doubt Mr Redknapp will blame our league position on our fans being back in the stadium!! Jog on Jamie.
We West Ham fans will always support our team.

We support the team, not the regime.

Come on you Irons
Long Live West Ham.

Re: Jamie redknapp.-west Ham better off playing in front of no fans,
Playing devils advocate here..

Moyes was very much still regarded in a negative light by the vast majority of support..
Losing the opening home game to Mr Doubtfire's mob had the support on an understandable downer from the off.. (what the fuck did they expect?).. here we go again!!

I get the arguement.. but I strongly disagree with with it.

Works both ways anyhow.. Our support away from home is second to none and every man jack would be behind the players at the bowl for all the remaining home games..
I would say that would be a MASSIVE ADVANTAGE.

fuck em all anyway

Re: Jamie redknapp.-west Ham better off playing in front of no fans,
Lily’s calling this right.
And it’s just a more balanced squad/positive mindset. That’s why we’re doing well.

Take no notice of junior bullshitter and someone give him a packet of Tunes for that cold he’s had for years. Little tosser.

And the HU campaign will carry on, once we’ve moved along Boris’s roadmap a bit more.

Re: Jamie redknapp.-west Ham better off playing in front of no fans,
Redknapp and pals line of the thinking is the same intellectual level as saying a duck has a head and two legs as do I therefore I am a duck.

Not enough people who trot out the "toxic home support" line have recent experience of going to home games nor football grounds generally. Football and football crowds have changed a fair bit from 20/20/40 years ago but that is everywhere not just West Ham. Considering the shit that we've had to put up with with the owners and stadium move I'd say our support is second to very few.

The away STHs know what the home support is like at other grounds and none of them are cheering and clapping when their team plays negative dross or losing to a team they really ought to be competitive against. Listening to some in the media you'd think that's unique to West Ham.

Re: Jamie redknapp.-west Ham better off playing in front of no fans,
Ludo 21- it happened at Upton Park also, As much as I think we were ripped off moving stadiums, life back home wasn’t all that at times when we wasn’t playing very well, you have to go back to pre seating when going football was genuinely good!

The best we’ve ever been was in the 80s, when the stadium was packed with fans, many of whom brutally cunted certain players.

It is a bit of a coincidence that the best we have ever been is when there is no fans inside the stadium

Pint of bothered who cares what redknapp or anyone else thinks. But something tells me the yids and gooners would be going apoleptic if they were watching their sides this season.

Re: Jamie redknapp.-west Ham better off playing in front of no fans,
Used to get wound up by the Redkapp's and JUNIORS comments about the fans, but see the comments for what they are now.

They have a big 'thing' about the club still, some kind of resentment imho linked to Harry's last few months at the club.

Rather than all through the following years direct it at those they feel responsible for that situation, they've instead just had cheap shots at the easy target of 'the fans'.

Still, I suppose it's a step up from a much changed story denigrating a club board member who is conveniently dead and can't tell their side of things. Leave that to Harry....

Re: Jamie redknapp.-west Ham better off playing in front of no fans,
The pundits on Talksport just conflated anti board grumbles with anxiety at dodgy performances and anger at lack of effort and urgency.

There have not been lots of demos in the stadium. They are making it sound like the scenes during THAT Burnley match have happened countless times. It only happened once. After that, Hammers United's protests have not happened during matches, and that was by design. The motto for some time has been "SUPPORT THE TEAM, NOT THE REGIME!"

So after protesting outside the LS, or just before kick off at Anfield and Arsenal, the fans were encouraged to back the team 100% which they vocally did.

ludo21 7:24 Tue Feb 23
Re: Jamie redknapp.-west Ham better off playing in front of no fans,
The thing that really pisses me off about the fans at the LS is the way that 20,000 piss off as soon as the team goes 0-3 down.

No one wants to watch your team playing shit but what is the point of not supporting the team.

I also can't stand the way (even if we are winning) a large proportion of the crowd start leaving with 15-20 minutes to go. I know the ground is the issue with people wanting to beat the rush to the station but why bother, surely having bothered to go why not stay to the end...

There is some truth in it.

Re: Jamie redknapp.-west Ham better off playing in front of no fans,
I've sometimes thought that we reserve the most abuse for the ref which sets something off in their weird 'bullied-at-school' mindset that I can't even begin to pretend to understand.

I know the cunts still don't want to give us penalties but maybe they are calling things more fairly with us off their backs?

Anyway, it goes to show that there are many more variables at play than a dunce like Redknapp would ever understand.
